Gaming has spawned many iconic franchises in its relatively short life as a medium. & since it’s so closely tied to childhood there’s a LOT of nostalgia that’s intrinsically linked for a LOT of people. Nintendo is one of the leaders in entertainment in consistently monetizing this nostalgia so you would THINK they’d make it their business to celebrate big anniversary milestones but if you ask a Zelda fan right now… Or a Golden Sun fan… ever? 

They’d tell you Nintendo doesn’t care nearly enough. & when you look at what companies like The Pokemon Company is doing with Pokemon Pokopia, Pokemon Wing & Waves, Pokemon Champions, & more. Or what a 3rd party publisher like Capcom is doing with Resident Evil Requiem for the 30th RE anniversary — you may inclined to agree — but I think they should be careful what they wish for…
